This is in no way a complete guide on how to use our virtual store but it should start you off on how to enjoy the best Material Mall experience.
Register on the Platform.
To get started, It is advisable that you register on the platform.
Go to Material Mall’s website and click on the “Register” button. You will be asked to provide some personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address.
2. Browse and Select Products.
You can start browsing the wide selection of building materials available on Material Mall. You can use the search bar to find specific products or browse through different categories such as Flooring, Roofing, Electricals, Plumbing, etc.
Once you have registered, you gain access to added features that are not available to non-registered users such as major suppliers and manufacturers which are location-based.
3. Choose a Vendor that suits your needs.
When you find a product you like, you will have access to a list of vendors who sell that product. Each vendor will have their own price and shipping information, so make sure to choose the one that fits your needs. We would advise that you look at the vendor location and proximity to your delivery location.
4. Add Products to the cart.
After you have chosen a product from a vendor, you can add the product to your cart. You can go back and continue shopping and add more products to your cart.
5. Checkout using our secure payment platforms.
When you are ready to checkout, click on the shopping cart icon and review your order. You can edit your cart, apply any discounts, and choose your shipping method. Shipping is handled by the vendor so ensure you confirm how and when your delivery will be made.
6. Join a group for added benefits.
Material Mall offers group plans that give you access to exclusive discounts, early access to sales, free shipping, support and so much more. You can sign up at this stage if you want to join the program.
7. Make a Payment.
Once you have confirmed your order, you will be directed to the payment page. Material Mall accepts a variety of payment methods such as Credit cards, PayPal, Paystack, or bank transfers. Make sure to enter your payment information correctly and double check for errors before you confirm.
8. Confirm your Order.
After you have completed the payment, you will receive an order confirmation. This will include a summary of your order, the vendor’s shipping information, and the estimated delivery location, date, and time.
9. Select shipping and delivery options if provided by the vendor.
The vendor will ship the product to your registered delivery address, and depending on your plan, you can track your order’s progress using the tracking information provided.
10. Leave a review of the product after receiving it.
After you have received your product, you can leave a review for the vendor. This helps other customers make informed decisions and also provides feedback for the vendor.

How do fees work on Material Mall?
Joining and starting a shop on Material Mall is free. There are three basic selling fees: a listing fee, a transaction fee, and a payment processing fee.
It costs NGN0 to publish a listing to the marketplace. A listing lasts for one month or until the item is sold. Once an item sells, there is a 1% – 5% transaction fee on the sales price (not including shipping costs and VAT). If you accept payments with Paystack or PayPal, there is also a payment processing fee based on their fee structure.
Listing fees are billed in NGN, so if your bank’s currency is not NGN, the amount may differ based on changes in the exchange rate.
What do I need to do to create a shop?
It’s easy to set up a shop on Material Mall. Create an Material Mall account (if you don’t already have one), set your shop location and currency, choose a shop name, create a listing, set a payment method (how you want to be paid), and finally set a billing method (how you want to pay your Material Mall fees).
How do I get paid?
If you accept payments with PayPal, funds from PayPal sales on Material Mall will be deposited into your PayPal account. We encourage sellers to use a PayPal Business account and not a Personal account, as personal accounts are subject to monthly receiving limits and cannot accept payments from buyers that are funded by a credit card.
Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?
No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a shop. To be verified as a seller you have the choice to use either a credit card or to register via PayPal. You will not incur any charges until you open your shop and publish your listings.
