Register and List your Products and Services

  • Click on "Become a Seller" or "Sell" button at the top of the page
  • Register your business for free by creating a seller/ vendor account
  • Create a product catalogue and upload clear product images, add price, quantity, description, specifications and get listed by clicking on "save / post".

Receive Orders and Sell Your Products and Services

  • Make sure you stay signed in on materialmall.ng
  • Check the order status of your products and images by going to the "orders" tab in your vendor dashboard and click on individual order numbers to fulfill the order. Order numbers are automatically assigned.
  • On the "Orders" tab, you can view Completed Orders, Processing Orders, Pending Orders, etc.
  • Allow notifications on your mobile device to be notified when a customer places an order.
  • Only mark an order as complete when it has been delivered and accepted by the customer.

Ship and deliver the Products securely and easily

  • To set your store delivery rates, locations, details, terms and conditions, for your store, go to your store "settings" tab at the bottom of your vendor dashboard and click the "delivery" tab. Make sure you save before you exit the page.
  • Click on the "delivery tab" of your vendor dashboard to view scheduled deliveries and fulfill each one.
  • Ensure you have concluded on shipping rates, details and delivery location with your customer.
  • You can print and paste material mall shipment labels on the products.
  • Follow through to ensure safe and secure delivery.
  • Ensure acknowledgement of delivery by the customer.

Get Paid and Expand your Business

  • Ensure you have entered the full payment information of your business account on the "payment tab" of your vendor dashboard. To do this, on your vendor dashboard, go to "settings" and then click on "payment". 
  • Fill in your billing details. How you will pay Material Mall Fees.
  • Fill in your payment details. How you will receive payments from product sales.
  • Select your preferred payment schedule on when you wish to receive your payments. Either weekly (once a week), bi-monthly (once every 2 weeks) or monthly (once a month).
  • Receive payment for completed orders in your registered Nigerian bank account. Note that there is a minimum withdrawal amount before you can withdraw your funds to your registered bank account.
  • To get lower transaction rates, and other services to grow your store, you may choose a premium subscription plan.

  • Interact with your customers and respond to their queries through the "request quote" tab and the "support" tab on your vendor dashboard.
  • When customers request for support from your store, you can view and respond to their requests on the "support" tab of your vendor dashboard.

Here are some common questions about selling on Material Mall

How do fees work on Material Mall?

Registering and starting a shop on Material Mall is totally free.
The Free plan allows for 5 products to be sold at a time.
There are three basic selling fees: a rental/ subscription fee, a transaction/ commission fee, and a payment processing fee. All other fees are optional service fees.

 If you are on the default free plan, you are limited to sell a maximum of 5 products at a time on the marketplace. A product that has been listed, lasts for one month or until the item is sold. Once an item sells, there is a 1.5% to 15% transaction/ rental fee charged on the sale price (not including shipping or other costs). If you accept or make payments with Paystack or other Payment platforms, there is also a payment processing fee based on their fee structure.

Additional product fees are billed in NGN, so if your bank’s currency is not NGN, the amount may differ based on changes in the exchange rate.

What do I need to do to create a shop?

It is very easy to set up a shop on Material Mall. Start by creating a Material Mall account (if you don’t already have one), set your shop location and currency, choose a shop name, create a product listing, set a payment method (how you want to be paid), and finally set a billing method (how you want to pay your Material Mall fees).

How do I get paid?

By default, payments are made directly to your registered Nigerian bank account.

If you accept payments with Paystack, funds from sales on Material Mall will be deposited through your Paystack business account.

If you accept payments with PayPal, funds from PayPal sales on Material Mall will be deposited into your PayPal business account. PayPal personal accounts are not accepted as there are subject to monthly receiving limits and cannot accept payments from buyers that are funded by a credit card.

Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?

No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a shop. You will need to fill in your full bank account details in order to receive payment from buyers. To make a purchase, you can use either a credit card or to register with an existing Payment Platform on your account.

To be verified as a seller you have the choice to use a valid Government issued ID (with address and photograph), proof of address and proof of store location.
